Recent announcements from Case Shiller show the Portland area index going down a little from the previous month. Is this a trend or just normal ups and downs of the market? It's too early to know for sure but based on other signals in the housing market (new home starts, interest rates, etc) we are probably just seeing a seasonal dip. Activity in our office is brisk and we won't see this reflected in Case Shiller data for another two months.
